Meet the Cast

Bonnie has always loved to perform! From 2 years old she has attended dance, singing and drama classes. With training from Kim Hornby, Bonnie has achieved her Trinity College of London ATCL Diploma. Bonnie has appeared in many shows including CATCH ME IF YOU CAN with What Theatre Company, JERRY’S GIRLS with Metropolitan Players and CARRIE with Wea Hunter as Sue Snell. Bonnie also recently choreographed DOT AND THE KANGAROO JR for Hunter Drama. Bonnie has also worked closely with the iTheatrics team in New York for many years appearing in multiple workshops and choreography DVD’s. Most recently Bonnie was Dance Captain and Ensemble in MARY POPPINS with The Very Popular Theatre Company and is thrilled to be working with them again in FROZEN!

While this is Callum’s first show with Very Popular, he is no stranger to the stage. Callum has been involved in theatre since 2013, beginning his journey with Gosford Musical Society. His recent roles include Al Deluca in Curtain Bounce’s A CHORUS LINE and Billy Lawlor in Gosford Musical Society’s 42ND STREET. Callum is also well accomplished behind the curtain, recently being the Stage Manager for Gosford Musical Society’s production of OLIVER! as well as the Assistant Stage Manager for Gosford Musical Society’s JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR. Callum is excited to be sharing the stage with such a talented cast and has loved the warm welcome to Very Popular. He hopes you enjoy your trip to Arendelle.

Charlotte grew up with a distinct love for Disney princesses that led her to start singing lessons at the age of seven. Since 2018, she has been involved with over twenty musicals across the Central Coast. Some of her favourite roles over the past few years include Elle Woods in LEGALLY BLONDE (Gosford High School 2023), and Madame in BEAUTY & THE BEAST JR (Gosford Musical Society 2026). In 2025, Charlotte performed in and rehearsed for six musicals, including A CHORUS LINE with Curtain Bounce, while completing her HSC. Additionally, Charlotte produced and headlined her debut concert, LOVE LETTERS, at Red Tree Theatre, and graduated from the prestigious Talent Development Project in June 2025. Charlotte is thrilled to be making her debut with The Very Popular Theatre Company. Frozen is the first film she remembers viewing in cinemas, so being able to bring this production to life has felt particularly serendipitous.

Cody began his musical theatre journey in 2019, appearing in a local production of ALICE IN WONDERLAND with Gosford Musical Society where he played the Doorknob. This experience sparked his passion for theatre and performing, inspiring him to take dance lessons and further develop his singing and acting skills. Since then, Cody has performed in numerous productions across the Central Coast, taking on both ensemble and leading roles. In 2024, he played the lead role of Johnny O’Keefe in SHOUT! THE LEGEND OF THE WILD ONE with Gosford Musical Society. In 2025, he appeared as a dancer and understudied the role of Carlos in LEGALLY BLONDE with Gosford Musical Society. He also joined Curtain Bounce’s production of A CHORUS LINE in 2025, where he played Gregory Gardner. Cody continues to enjoy the creativity, collaboration, and storytelling that makes musical theatre so rewarding.

Connor Chadwick is a charismatic Brisbane based performer and a recent QAEMT Bachelor of Musical Theatre graduate under the direction of Award-winning Music Director Prof. Paul Sabey. He has performed in a range of musical theatre roles within his studies such as Al/ Zach(understudy) in Chorus line (2025) Vladimir in Legally Blonde (2024), and featured ensemble dancer in Cry Baby (2023). Since his 2025 graduation Connor has performed in ‘Any Moment: A new Musical’ where he showcased his multi genre talents of comedy, rap, harmonies and emotional ballads. Connor has also starred and performing in Georgy Girl the musical Brisbane and Mamma Mia (Sunshine Coast) as Pepper. Connor aspires to work with national and international touring musicals into the future.

Felicity Beale is a Central Coast based performer with a great passion for storytelling. Felicity is excited to be returning to the Civic Theatre stage for her second production with The Very Popular Theatre Company, her first being back in 2024 where she played the role of Mary Poppins and won the CONDA for Excellence by a Performer in a Leading Role. Felicity underwent formal musical theatre training at The National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) graduating in 2022. Since completing her studies, she has been involved in many productions across Sydney, Newcastle and the Central Coast. Some notable credits include Maggie in A CHORUS LINE with Curtain Bounce, Ariel in THE LITTLE MERMAID with Sydney Youth Musical Theatre and Ensemble/ Cosette Understudy in LES MISÉRABLES with Packemin Productions.

Francesco began his theatrical journey at the age of 13 in Verona, Italy, performing in hundreds of concerts and stage productions throughout his youth. He earned a Diploma of Musical Theatre at BSMT in Bologna in 2016, before touring extensively across Italy in a variety of musical productions. In 2018, he relocated to Paris, where he worked as a dancer and character performer at Disneyland Paris. Since moving to Australia in 2022, Francesco has quickly established himself on the local stage playing many different roles such as Capulet/Ensemble in &JULIET, Richard Bailey/Ensemble in KINKY BOOTS, Sam in GHOST, Judge Turpin in SWEENEY TODD, Neleus/Valentine/Ensemble in MARY POPPINS, Jack Barnes/Ensemble in CATCH ME IF YOU CAN, Lewis in PIPPIN, Paul in COMPANY. He also appeared as part of the ensemble in SUPERSTARS, SUPERSTARS HEROES & VILLAINS and MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG.

Based in Melbourne, Georgia is a graduate of Kelly Aykers Full Time Dance and furthered her studies with The London Summer Music Theatre Academy. She made her Off West End debut as Dance Captain/ Ensemble in WINNER (The New Musical) at Leicester Square Theatre, London 2023. Most recently appearing as Delta nu/Cover Elle Woods in Legally Blonde, other previous stage credits include Marian Paroo in The Music Man, Lucinda in Into the Woods, Morticia in The Addams Family, Audrey 2 in Little Shop of Horrors, Ensemble/ Cover Vivienne in Legally Blonde, Wicked Witch in Shrek and Kitty/Ensemble in Chicago. International contracts include Lead Vocalist in Viva- Global Spectacular and Featured Dancer in the Michael Jackson History Tribute Show in Greece. Georgia also appeared as a Swing in both The Alice Cocktail Experience and Alcotraz: The Immersive Experience in Melbourne. In addition, Georgia is currently the Creative Director at Ellen Entertainment. @_georgiaellen

Jayden began performing at the age of 9 and has been performing on stages all over Newcastle ever since. In 2024, he graduated from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music/Performing Arts. Jayden made his musical theatre debut as Joe Pesci in The Very Popular Theatre Company’s 2022 production of JERSEY BOYS. He then joined Chookas Entertainment’s 2023 season appearing in LEGALLY BLONDE and COMPANY. Jayden was then a part of Hunter Drama’s 2024 production of SCHOOL OF ROCK before joining the cast of the record-breaking season of MARY POPPINS presented by The Very Popular Theatre Company in 2024. Most recently, Jayden was a vocalist in SUPERSTARS: MUSIC THEATRES GREATEST HEROES AND VILLAINS IN CONCERT presented by Stoddart Entertainment Group and The Very Popular Theatre Company. Jayden is thrilled to be back on stage with The Very Popular Theatre Company as he joins the cast of FROZEN.

Isabella is a dynamic musical theatre performer from Newcastle, NSW, and a familiar face in the Newcastle theatre scene, having worked on stage and behind the scenes in numerous local productions. Her performance credits include DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS and THE ADDAMS FAMILY (Metropolitan Players) and Kitty in THE DROWSY CHAPERONE, directed by Tyler Jacob Jones (WAAPA). Isabella also has a passion for working behind the scenes, working on creative teams for THE WEDDING SINGER and THE JUNGLE BOOK (Hunter Drama) and most recently, having assistant choreographed Metropolitan Players production of COME FROM AWAY in August this year. Isabella is thrilled to be returning to the Newcastle stage after graduating from the Diploma of Musical Theatre at the Western Australia Academy of Performing Arts in 2025. Isabella is excited to be making her debut with The Very Popular Theatre Company in Disney’s FROZEN!

Isabelle’s love of musical theatre started two years ago in 2024, when she was cast in the ensemble for Chookas’ Annie. She loved the stage, getting to sing, dance and act, and instantly knew this was her thing. Isabelle then enrolled in musical theatre classes and the musical theatre performance troupe with Hunter Drama. She also learns singing at The Voice Studio.

Isabelle is in year 5 at New Lambton Public School, where she takes part in the school’s dance group and choir. In her spare time she likes violin, art and skiing.

Isabelle has loved Frozen since she was little and still remembers seeing the professional production in Sydney. She is excited to bring Young Anna to life.

Josie is thrilled to be returning to the Civic Theatre stage following her involvement in The Very Popular Theatre Company’s 2026 production of & JULIET and their 2025 production of MAMMA MIA! As a passionate performer, Josie has a dance background spanning more than 17 years and embraces every opportunity to continue developing her skills as an artist. In 2018, she appeared in ALADDIN JR with Hunter Drama Maitland and has since performed in a variety of high school productions. Josie has also been featured in the tap and jazz ensembles for STARSTRUCK Newcastle and performed as part of the tap ensemble in the SCHOOLS SPECTACULAR in Sydney. She is excited to bring the loveable and iconic SVEN to life in FROZEN and can’t wait to share the Disney magic with Newcastle audiences.

Josie grew up in Dubbo, NSW before moving interstate to study the Diploma of Music Theatre at WAAPA and then a Bachelor of Music Theatre at the Elder Conservatorium in Adelaide, graduating in 2023.

Since graduating, Josie has worked in both company management and as a performer. She toured with the MISS SAIGON International Tour as the Assistant Company Manager in 2023/24. In 2025 she completed a contract with Brainstorm Productions, delivering educational performances across NSW. Most recently, she was the movement director with Good Time Theatrics’ SELKIE for both Sydney Fringe in 2025 and Adelaide Fringe in 2026.

Layla is a passionate young performer with experience in musical theatre, dance and vocal performance. She trains in dance at Perry on Parry under Principal Renae Perry, studies Musical Theatre with High Street Productions, receives vocal coaching from Francine Bell, and has further developed her skills through the Theatre Bridge program.

Her theatre credits include Patty Farrell in Diary of a Wimpy Kid (High Street Productions), an Orphan in Annie the Musical (Chookas), Timon in The Lion King Jr. (SPCC), Ballet Girl in Billy Elliot the Musical (The Very Popular Theatre Company), and most recently Mary in Mary Poppins Jr. (SPCC).

A versatile performer, Layla enjoys bringing energy, confidence and heart to every role. Her performance as Timon earned her a CONDA Award nomination for Supporting/Lead Role Under 18.

Layla is thrilled to be bringing the magic of Young Elsa to the stage and is incredibly grateful to her teachers, mentors and production teams for their ongoing encouragement and support.

Lizzy Lindus found a love for performing when she took her very first tap dance class at age 3. Since then she has trained extensively in a variety of dance styles, earned a Diploma in Musical Theatre and performed on many stages across Australia. Some of Lizzy’s major credits include playing Doralee in 9 TO 5 (Very Popular Theatre Company), Princess Fiona in SHREK THE MUSICAL (Metropolitan Players), Patty in SCHOOL OF ROCK (Hunter Drama), The Wicked Witch of the West in THE WIZARD OF OZ (Metropolitan Players), Jolene in DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS (Metropolitan Players), and Bluey in THE BLUEY LIVE EXPERIENCE. In addition to her stage work, Lizzy was a member of the children’s entertainment group THE LITTLE SCALLYWAGZ and currently brings joy to young people through her work with the Starlight Children’s Foundation.

Lucy is thrilled to return to the stage with The Very Popular Theatre Company after performing with them in MAMMA MIA (2025) and MARY POPPINS (2024). They are a teacher at Hype Dance Hunter Valley where they study dance education, and furthered their musical theatre education through the Junior Theatre Festival Australia’s pilot programs for SISTER ACT JR., MOANA JR. and SOMETHING ROTTEN JR., and performing in Starstruck and Schools Spectacular as a featured dancer. Lucy has appeared in various community and school productions as a performer and choreographer, including ALADDIN JR. as Iago, OLIVER!, GREASE, and LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS. Earlier this year, they performed and choreographed as a Dance Partner for the Cancer Council’s STARS OF THE HUNTER. Lucy studies a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Newcastle, where their linguistics major has led to research on language use in theatre.

Maddi’s training includes a Diploma of Elite Performance majoring in Dance and a Diploma of Musical Theatre graduating with honours with Brent Street Studios. Maddi has been seen working on TV ad campaigns for company’s such as McDonald’s, Bonds, Mount Franklin, Chubb Insurance, Rebel Sport and Rockwear. Maddi has been seen performing in “The Little Mermaid cocktail experience” at Sydney’s Sea Life Aquarium as a featured singer. Maddi has also been seen back up singing for Guy Sebastian, Australian idol and The ARIAS. In 2025 Maddi made her professional Musical theatre debut in “Songs for a new world” in Melbournes renowned theatre Chapel off Chapel. And has just recently completed three contracts with “Gatsby at the Green light” in over 300 performances at the Sydney Opera House and Brisbane Festival as the on stage Ensemble swing and lead vocal understudy.

Luke has been performing most of his life, starting at the age of 6 with dance classes through to graduating from Newcastle University with a Bachelor of Arts as a Theatre major.

More recently, he has performed in The Very Popular Theatre Company’s production of Mary Poppins in 2024. He also previously played the role of Luke on the Civic Theatre stage in productions of Priscilla Queen of the Desert in 2021 and Shrek in 2022 as Donkey, as well as further afield in CLOC’s 2019 production of Mamma Mia in Melbourne.

Directing has always been a second love for Luke, having directed Anastasia and Wicked for Newcastle Grammar School, the latter winning Luke his first CONDA for best director of a musical in 2021, as well as best production by a youth theatre company or school. Luke also recently directed Clue for Hunter Drama earlier this year.

Makenzie discovered her passion for singing and musical theatre at the age of eight and has embraced every opportunity to perform since. She appeared with Gippsland Youth Theatre Group as an ensemble member in Moana Jr. (2024) before being cast as Chef Louis in The Little Mermaid Jr. (2025). Having received vocal training since 2022, she has performed as a solo vocalist from an early age.

Makenzie is an active member of school and community choirs, regularly performing at school assemblies, special events and arts showcases as a featured vocalist. Makenzie has been accepted into Hunter School of the Performing Arts, performs with Hunter Trebles, and was recently cast as Willy Wonka in her school’s production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Makenzie is thrilled to make her debut with The Very Popular Theatre Company as Young Elsa in Frozen, a role she is honoured to bring to the stage.

Melanie Cowmeadow is a performer and Pop artist from Adelaide. A recent graduate of the Elder Conservatorium of Music Theatre, some of her highlights include playing the Witch in INTO THE WOODS (Dir. Miranda Middleton) and the Red Cross Nurse/Queen of Hearts in ALICE BY HEART (Dir. Erin James). As a singer-songwriter, Melanie appeared on Channel 7’s THE VOICE AUSTRALIA (Season 11) turning all four coaches chairs in her blind audition and joining Keith Urban’s team. She also released her debut EP, SNAKES & LADDERS, in 2025.

Mylah has been performing from a young age, studying tap, jazz and classical dance at KCDANCEHQ. She further developed her passion for the stage through musical theatre and drama training with Hunter Drama, where she appeared in productions including The Butterfly Effect and Museum Heist.

In 2025, Mylah made her musical theatre debut as Young Anna in Frozen Jr., an experience that strengthened her love of performing. That same year she was selected for the STARSTRUCK Chore Choir, a stepping stone that led to her being chosen as a featured vocalist in STARSTRUCK: Out of the Ordinary in 2026. Through STARSTRUCK, Mylah also performed alongside NewFM breakfast host Joel Newman at the Glencore Christmas Carols, with the performance broadcast on 105.3FM throughout the Christmas season.

Mylah is excited to be part of this professional production and bring Young Anna to life.

Mick began his theatre journey performing as “Scarecrow” in THE WIZ for Metropolitan Players in 2001. After spending time overseas, he worked at a dance studio in the UK broadening his experience and developing skills as a choreographer and mentor. Returning to Newcastle in 2019, Mick re-joined Metropolitan Players, choregraphing and performing in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, and then in 2021 received a Conda Nomination for Excellence in Choreography for PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT. Mick later performed in BILLY ELLIOT (2023) and MARY POPPINS (2024) with The Very Popular Theatre Company at the Civic Theatre. In 2025, Mick earned Conda Nominations for both Choreography and his roles as “The Guard/Uncle Henry” in THE WIZARD OF OZ – Metropolitan Players. Mick is thrilled to be back on stage once again with The Very Popular Theatre Company, performing in this fabulous production of Frozen.

Nicholas started his journey in theatre on the Central Coast in 2015 performing in shows with Gosford Musical Society.

Since then he’s gone on to complete a Diploma of Musical Theatre through Palm Studio Co., where he performed in lead roles such as Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors and Kenickie in Grease, and appeared in Ghost, A New Brain, Spring Awakening and Carrie.

After graduating in 2018, Nicholas played Charlie Bucktin in Jasper Jones (Lambert House Productions) at the Bondi Pavilion, which saw him nominated for two GLUG awards: Best Male Actor in a Play and the Mathew Leonard Award for a young performer under 25.

For The Very Popular Theatre Company, Nicholas understudied the role of Bob Gaudio in the highly acclaimed production of Jersey Boys and Tony in the Newcastle premiere of Billy Elliot, as well as Superstars Heroes and Villains earlier this year.

Niylesh recently made his professional musical theatre debut as Walter in HAIR.

As one of the industry’s newest triple-threats, he is a 2025 graduate of Patrick School of the Arts’ musical theatre program, where he performed roles including Barnaby in HELLO DOLLY, Jesus in REEFER MADNESS and Ovington/Finch cover in HOW TO SUCCEED. Prior to his full-time studies, Niylesh trained at NIDA’s Singing & Acting Studio, and currently refines his vocal technique under the guidance of Rosie Harris.

Since graduating, Niylesh has performed as a vocalist for corporate events including the NBA/NBL Melbourne Luncheon, Tourism Australia: Australia Next showcase and Treasures of Melbourne Gala. He has also danced at the 2024 Formula One Grand Prix and featured in Niina Dell’s concept video “We Are Golden”.

Niylesh is a proud Singaporean-Australian and would like to thank his family, friends and agent for their endless love and support.

Phillip Lyttleton is a 20-year-old musical theatre perfromer from the Central Coast who recently completed his Diploma of Musical Theatre at Palm Studios. Having started dancing at the age of six, Phillip has developed a passion for acting, singing and dance, and loves bringing stories to life on stage. His theatre credits include LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, THE WEDDING SINGER, A NEW BRAIN, SPONGEBOB THE MUSICAL, GREASE, A CHORUS LINE, 13 THE MUSICAL and MAMMA MIA!, along with many other productions. In 2025, Phillip expanded his creative experience as Assistant Choreographer for SEUSSICAL THE MUSICAL and has also appeared in short films, a feature film and music videos. Phillip is thrilled to be returning to the Civic Theatre stage for FROZEN and hopes you enjoy the show.

Phoebe Rodger (she/her) is a music theatre and cabaret performer & writer from Adelaide, recently graduating her Bachelor of Music Theatre at the Elder Conservatorium. In 2026, she debuted her original solo musical comedy cabaret show PHOEBS, YOU’RE A LESBIAN at the Adelaide Fringe, winning a Weekly Best of Cabaret Award and the Feast Festival Award. Her music theatre credits include: Mary Magdalene in WELL-BEHAVED WOMEN (Australian Music Theatre Festival, dir. Ylaria Rogers), SOMETHING SPECIAL (Perform! Education, Echelon Productions), Lydia from Beetlejuice in WHAT WE SEE FROM HERE (ECMT/Homegrown, dir. Ben Nicholson and Nick Hedger), Miss Jones in HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING (ECMT, dir. Erin James), Jack’s Mother, Granny, and Giant in INTO THE WOODS (ECMT, dir. Miranda Middleton), Caterpillar in ALICE BY HEART (ECMT, dir. Erin James), and Chorus in CANDIDE (State Opera South Australia and State Theatre Company South Australia, dir. Mitchell Butel).

Rory has been performing since a young age and has a strong love for everything musical theatre and performance. After graduating from Hunter School of the Performing Arts, Rory went on to complete Hunter Dramas pre diploma of musical theatre in both 2024 and 2025. Over the past 3 years Rory has dedicated time to teaching both drama and musical theatre for Maitland Repertory Theatre and Hunter Drama, Rory loves to share their knowledge and love for the performing arts with the Hunter Valley’s next generation of performing artists. Rory’s most notable, recent credits include: The Boy from Oz (Singleton Theatrical Society), Kinky boots (Chookas Entertainment), The Wizard of Oz (Metropolitan Players), Mary Poppins (The Very Popular Theatre Company), Pippin (Chookas Entertainment), and Heathers: The Musical (Chookas Entertainment). Rory is thrilled to be hitting the Civic Theatre mainstage again with the company of Frozen!

Seb Smee is an award-winning theatrical performer, producer, and director from Newcastle, Australia. He is also the Artistic Director of local theatre company, Hyde Entertainment. Seb’s first stage appearance was at the age of 9, performing as part of the ensemble in HAIRSPRAY. He has since been involved in more than 50 productions and performances. Seb’s most notable credits include the title roles in both CALVIN BERGER and FRANK SPARROW, the latter earning him a CONDA Award for ‘Leading Actor in a Play’ within the youth category. Other standout roles include ‘Marlin’ in FINDING NEMO: THE MUSICAL and ‘Professor Callahan’ in LEGALLY BLONDE. At just 15 years old, Seb began his journey into producing and directing. Since then, he has helmed a number of major productions, including the first Australian staging of Broadway’s DIANA: THE MUSICAL, THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE, CHATROOM, TREASURE ISLAND and IMPENDING EVERYONE.

Originally from the Central Coast, Tom holds a Diploma of Musical Theatre (NIDA). His musical theatre credits include The Beast in Beauty and the Beast (WTC), Peeta in Definitely Not a Hungry Game: A Parody Musical for both its Adelaide and Sydney return seasons, Raoul in The Phantom of the Opera: In Concert (Curtain Bounce), Enjolras in Les Misérables (Packemin Productions), Claude in Hair (Zap), Tommy Ross in Carrie: The Musical (Ignite Theatre Company), Officer Barrel/Tiny Tom and cover Bobby Strong in Urinetown (Hayes Theatre Co).

His play credits include Corgan in F**/Stag (Qtopia), Mick/Martin in Three Winters Green (LHE Productions) and Jamie in The Credeaux Canvas (LHE Productions). He has performed at the Hayes Theatre in Homegrown’s Festival of New Work and Carols by Cabaret as a principal soloist.

He has both a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Sydney.

Zoe is well known to Newcastle theatre audiences, last seen at the Civic Theatre in 2026 with SUPERSTARS:HEROES VS VILLAINS and as Miss Andrew, nemesis to MARY POPPINS in 2024, with The Very Popular Theatre Company.

As Leading Player in Chookas Entertainment’s double seasons of PIPPIN in 2023-2024 and CHICAGO’s Velma Kelly in 2022, she grew up performing locally with Hunter Drama, ASPIRE, ATWEA and Star Struck.

Zoe is two time CONDA Award winner for her performances in THE DROWSY CHAPERONE with High Street Productions in 2018 and Opera Hunter’s SHE LOVES ME in 2020.
